INVESTMENT MARKETS

You will have likely seen that investment markets are experiencing lots of ups and downs at the moment in response to announcements of trade tariffs by the American Government. These market movements will have an impact on the value of your pension savings in the Defined Contribution Section of the Scheme. As Trustees of the Scheme, it is our responsibility to oversee your investments and ensure they are appropriately managed during this turbulent time. We are actively monitoring the situation and will take action if we think it is appropriate to do so. However, we want to emphasise that we maintain a clear long-term perspective and will avoid making short-term, rash changes – we encourage you to have a similar mindset if you are considering making changes to how your pension savings are invested.
